The problem is that we the readers can see her faults, but no one in the story does. No one else (Besides EC and Jacob) thinks that the relationship is bad or that Bella is a total spaz...no instead, Bella is this perfect (Yet Meyer constantly tells us how plain she is) girl who finds out within a week (How he managed to stay hidden for a hundred years is beyond me...all she had to do was an internet search) that a hot guy (Who she fell in love with at first sight...how original) is a vampire.

Everyone else thinks she is perfect and those who don't think so (AKA. All the girls in Forks) are supposedly jealous losers. It's a trait of a Sue that all the bad characters (save for the hot ones) despise the MS for no real reason...
